HMRC has released its latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs) this week, which will come into force from 1st June 2021.

Available at https://comcar.co.uk/taxpages/afrs/ the AFRs for all petrol rates increases by 1ppm for all three engine size categories - up to 1,400cc engine (11ppm), 1,400-2,000cc (13ppm) and over 2,000cc (19ppm).

Diesel rates for engines up to 1,600cc remain the same (9ppm) and the same goes for engines from 1,601-2,000c (11ppm). There is a 1ppm increase for engines over 2,000cc (13ppm).

AFRs for all LPG-powered vehicles have also increased across the range - 1ppm increased for engies up to 1,400cc (8ppm) and 1,401-2,000cc (9ppm). A 2ppm increased applies to engines over 2,000cc (14ppm)

The advisory electricity rate (AER) for electric cars also remains unchanged at 4ppm.
