HMRC has released its latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs) this week, which will come into force from 1st December 2021.

Available at the AFRs for all petrol rates increases by 1ppm for engine sizes up to 1,400cc engine (13ppm) and 1,400-2,000cc (15ppm). For engines and over 2,000cc, the rates have increased by 2ppm (22ppm).

Diesel rates increase by 1ppm for all three engine size categories - up to 1,400cc engine (11ppm), 1,400-2,000cc (13ppm) and over 2,000cc (16ppm).

AFRs for all LPG-powered vehicles have also increased across the range - 2ppm increase for engines up to 1,400cc (9ppm) and 1,401-2,000cc (10ppm). A 3ppm increase applies to engines over 2,000cc (15ppm)

The advisory electricity rate (AER) for electric cars has also increased by 1ppm and is now 5ppm.
