HMRC has released its latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs) this week, which will come into force from 1st March 2023.
Available at https://comcar.co.uk/taxpages/afrs/ the AFRs for all petrol rates decreased for all three engine size categories - up to 1,400cc engine (13ppm down from 14ppm), 1,400-2,000cc (15ppm down from 17ppm) and over 2,000cc (23ppm down from 26pm).
Diesel rates have also decreased across all engine sizes - up to 1,600cc (13ppm down from 14ppm), 1,601-2,000c (15ppm down from 17ppm) and engines over 2,000cc (20ppm down from 22ppm).
AFRs for all LPG-powered vehicles up to 1,400cc have remained the same at 10ppm, with decreased rates for engines between 1,401-2,000cc (11ppm down from 21ppm) and engines over 2,000cc (17ppm down from 18ppm).
Hybrid cars are treated as either petrol or diesel cars for AFR purposes.
The advisory electricity rate (AER) for electric cars is now at 9ppm, up from 8ppm.
