• Ford have unveiled the New Ford Kuga this week, offering a new facelifted front-end and refreshed interior. 

    The interior now features Ford’s latest Sync4 infotainment system, which uses a landscape-oriented 13.2in touchscreen and is said to offer double the computing power of the outgoing Sync3 system.

    The Kuga lineup has been simplified, offering four grades -  Titanium, ST-Line, ST-Line X and new Active Series. ST-Line X and Active models are also now available with a four-wheel-drive hybrid powertrain for the first time.

    The New Ford Kuga starts at £32,080 OTR and is available to order now.

     
  • GWM ORA has launched its new naming convention for all current and future models.

    The brands first model, previously known as ORA Funky Cat, will now be re-named as ORA 03 and made available in two trim levels: PURE+ and PRO+.

    In 2024, GWM ORA will continue with its launch plans, introducing additional variants of ORA 03, including a sport inspired GT variant as well as its highly anticipated premium saloon model, ORA 07, which was previously branded as ‘Lightning Cat’ in other markets. In addition, the brand plans to expand its retail network through current and new partners, aiming to open one new site a month on average. 

     
  • Another brand introducing new naming conventions this week is KGM Motors, formerly known as SsangYong.

    KGM has announced its revised model line-up as part of its recent corporate rebrand, supporting the company's refreshed global brand identity. This strategic overhaul includes a consolidation of model specifications across both current and future offerings.

    Under this revision, vehicles within the line-up will undergo adjustments to meet updated specifications, reforming models to two variants per vehicle and embracing a unified alpha / numeric nomenclature, K20, K30, K40 and K50 variants. The award-winning Musso pick-up retains its established EX, Rebel, Saracen, and Saracen variant names.

    The launch of the KGM Torres and Torres EVX in the UK is planned for Q1 of 2024. Concurrently, the development of concept models BEV pick-up truck (0100), a BEV mid-sized SUV (KR10), and a BEV large SUV (F100) will continue with the collaboration of BYD, utilising BEV-dedicated platforms. The mass production of O100 and KR10 is expected to commence in H2 of 2024, with more information to be released in due course.
