HMRC has released its latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs) and Advisory Electric Rate (AER) this week, which will come into force from 1st March 2025.

Available at https://comcar.co.uk/taxpages/afrs/ Petrol engines up to 1,400cc remain at (12ppm), 1,400-2,000cc increase by 1ppm to (15pm), over 2,000cc remain at (23ppm).

Disel engines increase by 1ppm for engines up to 1,600cc (12ppm), and remain the same for 1,601-2,000c (13ppm) and engines over 2,000cc (17ppm).

AFRs for LPG-powered vehicles have meanwhile remained unchanged. Engines up to 1,400cc (11ppm), 1,401-2,000cc (13ppm) and over 2,000cc (21ppm).

Hybrid cars are treated as either petrol or diesel cars for AFR purposes.

The Advisory Electric Rate (AER) used to reimburse drivers of electric company cars, remains the same (7ppm).
