- Kia has confirmed UK pricing and details for the updated Sportage, following a mid-life refresh that brings revised styling and improved interior tech. The new model keeps its strong focus on practicality while introducing a simplified three-trim line-up: Pure, GT-Line, and GT-Line S. Each trim can be paired with either a petrol engine or hybrid powertrain from launch, offering more flexibility across the range.
Under the bonnet, the petrol version uses a 1.6-litre T-GDi engine, while the hybrid model pairs the same engine with a 1.49kWh battery to improve fuel efficiency and refinement. Front- and all-wheel drive configurations are available across both powertrains. A plug-in hybrid version will be added to the line-up later in 2025, which is expected to appeal to company car drivers and those seeking lower emissions and improved fuel economy.
Inside, the Sportage benefits from new tech features and a cleaner layout, borrowing elements from Kia’s newer models. It retains the practicality and comfort that have made it a bestseller in the UK.
Prices start at £30,885 for the petrol version and £34,425 for the hybrid. Orders open 1st July 2025, with first deliveries expected in Q3.
- Kia has also unveiled the EV4, a new all-electric hatchback aimed at the popular C-segment. This is the brand’s first EV in hatchback form, expanding its electric line-up beyond the EV6 and EV9 SUVs. The EV4 sits on Kia’s dedicated EV platform and has been tailored specifically for European roads and customer preferences, with production based in Slovakia.
The EV4 is offered in three familiar trims – Air, GT-Line, and GT-Line S – and comes with two battery options. The 58.3kWh standard-range battery offers up to 273 miles of range, while the 81.4kWh long-range battery provides up to 388 miles, the longest range of any Kia EV to date. Both are powered by a 150kW (201bhp) front-mounted motor, giving 0–62mph in as little as 7.5 seconds. The GT-Line and GT-Line S trims are only available with the larger battery, offering up to 362 miles of range.
The EV4 includes features such as a digital cockpit, heat pump option (£900 extra), and a clean, modern design intended to compete with rivals like the Volkswagen ID.3. A saloon-bodied EV4 Fastback is also on the way, with details expected later in the year.
Prices start at £34,695 for the EV4 Air with the 58.3kWh battery. Orders open 1st July 2025, with first deliveries beginning in autumn.
