- Mercedes-Benz has officially opened UK orders for the all-new CLA, the first in a new generation of vehicles built on the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA). This innovative model debuts with EQ Technology, setting a new benchmark for efficiency, intelligence, and user experience.
Prices for the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology start from £45,615 in the Sport Edition trim. Customers can also opt for higher-spec models, with AMG Line Edition priced from £49,375 and AMG Line Premium Edition from £51,770.
At launch, the CLA is offered exclusively as a fully electric vehicle. The CLA 250+ features an 85 kWh high-voltage battery paired with a 200 kW (272 hp) electric motor mounted on the rear axle. This configuration enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed of 130 mph.
A key highlight is the impressive range of up to 484 miles (WLTP) in Sport Edition specification. Thanks to 800-volt electrical architecture and rapid charging capabilities of up to 320 kW, over 200 miles of range can be added in just ten minutes. These features have been developed directly from the cutting-edge VISION EQXX project.
Performance and efficiency are further enhanced by a two-speed transmission, intelligent energy recuperation, low aerodynamic drag (0.214 Cd), and a standard air-to-air heat pump. Navigation with Electric Intelligence also helps optimise route planning for energy conservation.
Inside, every CLA is equipped with the latest-generation Mercedes-Benz Operating System and advanced driver assistance systems, delivering a highly intuitive and connected experience.
Later this year, Mercedes-Benz will expand the CLA lineup with a new hybrid variant, combining a four-cylinder petrol engine with 48-volt technology and an integrated electric motor within a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
