HMRC has published the latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs), effective from 1st June 2025, with minor changes to some petrol and diesel company car rates.
Available at https://comcar.co.uk/taxpages/afrs/, diesel engines up to 1,600cc have decreased by 1ppm to (11ppm), while 1,601-2,000cc (13ppm) and over 2,000cc (17ppm) remain unchanged.
Petrol engines up to 1,400cc remain at (12ppm), 1,401-2,000cc drop by 1ppm to (14ppm), and engines over 2,000cc fall by 1ppm to (22ppm).
LPG rates remain the same: engines up to 1,400cc (11ppm), 1,401-2,000cc (13ppm), and over 2,000cc (21ppm).
Hybrid vehicles continue to be treated as either petrol or diesel for AFR purposes.
The Advisory Electric Rate (AER) used for reimbursing electric company car drivers also remains unchanged at (7ppm).
