BMW has opened the order books for its new all-electric i3 50 xDrive First Edition ahead of its official UK launch in autumn 2026, marking the next step in its Neue Klasse rollout.

The First Edition, based on the M Sport model, adds upgraded equipment including BMW Iconic Glow, a 3D Head-Up Display, and 22kW AC charging.

Under the skin, the car uses BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive system with dual motors producing 469 hp and 645 Nm, paired with an 800V architecture that can add up to 263 miles in 10 minutes on a high-power charger.

Inside, BMW’s new Panoramic iDrive system stretches across the windscreen, combining voice, touch and haptic control with a redesigned digital interface built around the driver.

At launch, the standard i3 50 xDrive will start from £53,005 OTR, with a range of up to 563 miles (WLTP) and a 0–62mph time of 4.7 seconds.
