Using the design queues of Citroen's passenger range, the new Relay gets a grille similar to them. Daytime running lights are also included in the revised front end and DAB radio, Bluetooth, electric windows and a 22-litre overhead storage compartment also appear as standard.

Inside the new Relay, there is a choice of four panel van load lengths and three roof heights for load volumes of 8, 10, 13 and 17m3 along with GVW availability of 3000, 3300, 3500 and 4005 kg formats. Bodystyle availability ranges through panel van, chassis cab, chassis crew cab and specialist vans such as dropsides, tippers and Lutons.

Four HDi or e-HDi engines are available in the new Relay, all versions of Citroen's usual 2.2 litre diesel. They include 110, 130, 150 engines that come with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the 130 engines are available in e-HDi format with Stop and Start on selected versions. All new Relay's up to 3.5 tonnes also have sub 200g/km CO2 emissions.

Optionally, the new Relay offers customers an upgraded version of the standard ESC system with the optional Intelligent Traction Control and Hill Descent Control. A Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) option and a reversing camera coupled with parking sensors in the rear bumper are also available, along with a reversing camera that is positioned next to the high position third brake light and transmits images to the 5" colour LCD screen in the dashboard.
