HMRC has released its latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs) this week, which will come into force from 1st June 2021.

Available at the AFRs for all petrol rates increases by 1ppm for all three engine size categories - up to 1,400cc engine (11ppm), 1,400-2,000cc (13ppm) and over 2,000cc (19ppm).

Diesel rates for engines up to 1,600cc remain the same (9ppm) and the same goes for engines from 1,601-2,000c (11ppm). There is a 1ppm increase for engines over 2,000cc (13ppm).

AFRs for all LPG-powered vehicles have also increased across the range - 1ppm increased for engies up to 1,400cc (8ppm) and 1,401-2,000cc (9ppm). A 2ppm increased applies to engines over 2,000cc (14ppm)

The advisory electricity rate (AER) for electric cars also remains unchanged at 4ppm.
