HMRC has released its latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs) this week, which will come into force from 1st June 2023.

Available at https://comcar.co.uk/taxpages/afrs/ the AFRs for all petrol rates remain the same for all three engine size categories - up to 1,400cc engine (13ppm), 1,400-2,000cc (15ppm) and over 2,000cc (23ppm).

Diesel rates have decreased across all engine sizes - up to 1,600cc (12ppm down from 13ppm), 1,601-2,000c (14ppm down from 15ppm) and engines over 2,000cc 18ppm down from 20ppm).

AFRs for all LPG-powered vehicles up to 1,400cc has remained the same at 10ppm, with increased rates for engines between 1,401-2,000cc (12ppm up from 11ppm) and engines over 2,000cc (18ppm up from 17ppm).

Hybrid cars are treated as either petrol or diesel cars for AFR purposes.

The advisory electricity rate (AER) for electric cars remains the same at 9ppm.
