Changes to car tax from April 2018
28 Mar 2018 09:42The way vehicle tax is calculated changed in April 2017, which resulted in many cars becoming more expensive to run. More changes have since been introduced in the 2017 Autumn Budget, which are now coming into effect.

22 Nov 2017 08:58The Chancellor has given us a few things to think about, but no huge changes have been announced. Existing diesel drivers will be hurt by an average 4% increase in company car tax from April 2018 which they can do nothing about without changing cars.
WLTP is coming
02 Aug 2017 22:41NEDC testing will cease at the end of August 2017. After 1st September 2017 all car new type approval testing will be done under WLTP rules and after 1st September 2018 all new cars will need WLTP figures. WLTP figures are more realistic so company car taxation would rise if those figures are used. However during the transitional period WLTP figures will be translated into NEDC equivalent figures and most likely be used for tax purposes.
